Drawn from Abdullah Ibrahim's sold-out summer 2023 headline date at London's Barbican Centre, "3" is spread across two performances — one recorded without an audience straight to analogue on a 1" Scully tape machine once used at Sun Studios, the other from the concert itself. Ibrahim performs in a trio with Cleave Guyton (flute, piccolo, saxophone) and bassist-cellist Noah Jackson, both members of Ekaya.
