Genuine Audio-Technica AT-VMN40xML replacement stylus — a 2.2 x 0.12 mil nude MicroLinear on a tapered aluminum cantilever.

The MicroLinear profile follows the shape of the cutting stylus that mastered the record, reaching into groove modulation that rounder tips ride over and wearing evenly as it does so. The diamond is nude and grain-oriented for extended life.

Audio-Technica lists it for the AT-VM740xML and for the legacy VM540ML and VM740ML bodies, which makes it a straight drop-in upgrade for owners of those older cartridges. Made in Japan, rated at roughly 1,000 hours.
