This collection gathers recordings from tenor saxophone giant Ben Webster's European period (1964-1970), made in Copenhagen, the city he adopted after settling in Northern Europe. One of the three foremost swing-era tenor saxophonists alongside Coleman Hawkins and Lester Young, Webster brings his warm, breathy tone and unhurried ballad phrasing to a program of standards. Mastered by Rene Laflamme from the original 15 ips tapes on all-tube equipment.
