Making A Door Less Open is the first set of brand-new Car Seat Headrest songs since 2016's Teens of Denial. Created over four years, it's the result of a collaboration between Will Toledo's band and 1 Trait Danger, the CSH electronic side project of drummer Andrew Katz and Toledo's alter ego "Trait." The band recorded the album twice — once live with guitars, drums and bass, once in a purely synthesized MIDI environment — then blended the two approaches in the mix. The vinyl features its own distinct tracklist and mixes.
