The 2020 release from Charley Crockett, written and recorded just before the pandemic in the wake of life-saving open heart surgery. Aiming to "change the entire conversation about country music," Crockett and producer Mark Neill shaped a dark, gothic country record. As he puts it, "I think you can hear that deep, dark sadness in this record, but I think it's the kind of darkness that will uplift others."
