Legendary British band Cymande return in 2025 with Renascence, their first studio album in many years and a spiritual follow-up to 1974's Promised Heights. Picking up where that classic left off, the record brings a fresh, modern edge to the foundational sound that helped shape early hip-hop and funk. Politically aware and spiritually positive, it's led by the single "Chasing an Empty Dream" and packed with grizzly basslines, addictive percussion, global rhythms and layered horns.
