180g Vinyl LP — Blue Note Tone Poet Audiophile Reissue Series

Tenor saxophonist Fred Jackson cut his sole leader date for Blue Note, Hootin' 'N Tootin', in 1962 — a deeply soulful set of hot-blooded originals. He's backed by a muscular quartet featuring guitarist Willie Jones, drummer Wilbert Hogan and organist Earl Van Dyke, who would later anchor Motown's Funk Brothers house band. This stereo Tone Poet edition was mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI.
