The Hunter is one of Ike & Tina Turner's most blues-oriented albums, cut during the blues revival of the late 1960s. The Stax sound figures prominently across several fine blues workouts, with electric blues guitarist Albert Collins featured throughout. The album earned Tina Turner her first solo Grammy nomination. This is the first official American LP reissue in more than 40 years.
