Recorded live at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City on June 27, 1982 during George Wein's Kool Jazz Festival, this set captures Jaco Pastorius leading his Word of Mouth Big Band with special guest Toots Thielemans on harmonica. This deluxe 45rpm 200g edition is the first mastered from the original 2-track master tapes, discovered some 30 years after the performance. Jaco's groundbreaking fretless electric bass anchors a program of big-band arrangements, ballads, and Latin-tinged grooves.
