The Soul Sessions is the debut studio album by English singer-songwriter Joss Stone, released on September 16, 2003. The album consists of soul covers from the 1960s and 1970s plus a reworking of The White Stripes' "Fell in Love with a Girl." Produced by Miami soul legend Betty Wright and S-Curve chief Steve Greenberg, it teamed Stone with veteran Miami musicians including Benny Latimore, Little Beaver, and Timmy Thomas. The record was shortlisted for the 2004 Mercury Prize and nominated for a MOBO Award for Best Album.
