Juicy Lucy formed after the demise of The Misunderstood, when steel guitarist Glenn Ross Campbell and Blackburn saxophonist Chris Mercer recruited guitarist Neil Hubbard, bassist Keith Ellis, and drummer Pete Dobson. Their eponymous debut album was originally released in 1969 and delivers a heavy form of blues-rock, often played at break-neck speed. The band immediately notched a UK Top 20 hit with their cover of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love?".
