An automatic, fine-adjustable tonearm lifter that raises your arm smoothly and safely at the end of a side — elegant enough for a reference rig.

Say hello to your new Little Fwend, an automatic and adjustable tonearm lifter that smoothly and safely lifts your tonearm at the end of a vinyl LP, saving you time, hassle and worry while preventing possible damage to your arm, record or cartridge. More elegant and accurate than any other lifter devised, it adds refined sophistication to any turntable and is at home with entry-level tables as well as reference-level high-end rigs.

A release antenna made of high-grade carbon-steel Roslau piano wire and high-friction neoprene rubber padding make for the ultimate tonearm rest platform. Little Fwend fastens to a steel mounting platform via magnetic force that keeps the lifter firmly in place while allowing you to reorient the trigger antenna to match the run-out groove area of any record — within seconds you can fine-tune it to the exact spot where any side ends.

Height Ranges: Low or High?

The Low model works under tonearms with clearance between the underside of the arm wand and the mounting surface from 32 mm up to 49 mm. The High model works from 49 mm to 82 mm. Height is adjusted by a set screw in the base, and a hex key is included. Measure the distance from the mounting or plinth surface up to the underside of the tonearm wand with correct VTA set and the needle in the groove, then subtract approximately 1 mm to ensure safe clearance between the rubber beam and the moving tonearm. Little Fwend comes with a metal mounting plate and an adhesive tape circle to fix the plate to the turntable.

Reviews

"The Little Fwend, the name of which you will hate or love, is one of the most well-conceived, well-packaged, well-made audio accessories I have encountered. I recommend it without hesitation." — Art Dudley, Stereophile

"The lift cylinder is smooth-operating and well-damped, which results in a gentle rise, free of bouncing or violent upheavals as the arm rises, regardless of its mass or tracking force." — Michael Fremer, Analog Planet
