Enduringly credible, Magazine have long been the music connoisseur's choice, name-checked by the likes of Radiohead, Morrissey, Jarvis Cocker, U2 and Johnny Marr. Formed by ex-Buzzcocks frontman Howard Devoto, the band built its sound on Dave Formula's swirling keyboards, John McGeoch's innovative guitar and Barry Adamson's restless basslines. Their fourth and final album, 1981's Magic, Murder and the Weather, returns on colored vinyl with unseen images and new notes from band members curated by Rory Sullivan-Burke.
