Nagaoka - JC30LP LP Jacket Covers - 30 Pack

Outer jacket covers at a full 100 microns, with no welded seam across the bottom — and sized to take gatefolds. Thirty per pack, made in Japan.

Two things are worth knowing about these, and Nagaoka is specific about both.

The first is thickness. The JC30LP replaced Nagaoka's earlier NO108/3 cover and went from 75 microns to 100, which is a substantial step up for something whose entire job is absorbing the scuffs and shelf wear that would otherwise land on the jacket. Thin outer sleeves crease and tear at the opening; these do not.

The second is the bottom edge. Most poly outer covers are made by welding the film along the base, which leaves a stiff ridge — a skirt — that catches on the shelf and makes the sleeve sit awkwardly. Nagaoka's process eliminates the weld, so the cover slides in and out of a full shelf without fighting you.

At 325 × 325 mm they are cut generously enough to take gatefold jackets, not just single sleeves. Note Nagaoka's own caveat: depending on the shape of a particular gatefold, some may still not fit.
