Helmed by producer Joe Boyd (Nick Drake, Fairport Convention) and his former Riff Raff bandmate Wiggy, it saw Bragg deliver his most tender and empathetic collection, with a band featuring Danny Thompson on double bass, BJ Cole on pedal steel, Bruce Thomas of the Attractions on bass and Micky Waller on drums.
