Commissioned for the 1970 New Orleans Jazz Festival, Duke Ellington's New Orleans Suite marked his final recording with saxophonist Johnny Hodges. This Quadio Blu-Ray Audio disc, transferred from the original half-inch four-channel masters, presents the album in 192/24 quadraphonic and hi-res stereo. Incorporating Creole influences, it won the 1970 GRAMMY Award for Best Jazz Performance by a Big Band.
