Released in November 1974, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway was Genesis' ambitious sixth studio album and the last to feature original frontman Peter Gabriel. A sprawling concept double album devised by Gabriel, it follows the surreal journey of a young Puerto Rican named Rael through a series of bizarre events in New York City. Musically it ranges across progressive rock, art rock, funk and jazz fusion, with complex rhythms and dense, intricate arrangements. This Analogue Productions Hybrid SACD, part of the Atlantic 75th Anniversary Series, was mastered from the original master tape by Bernie Grundman.
