Los Angeles Forum, April 26, 1969 captures the original Jimi Hendrix Experience — Hendrix, drummer Mitch Mitchell, and bassist Noel Redding — at their peak before a sold-out house, tearing through "Purple Haze," "Red House," "I Don't Live Today," and an astonishing "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" / "Sunshine of Your Love" medley. Newly mixed by longtime Hendrix engineer Eddie Kramer directly from the original eight-track master tapes, this complete performance had been unavailable in any form for two decades. The release includes a booklet with liner notes from ZZ Top's Billy F Gibbons, who witnessed the show firsthand.
