Introducing Lee Morgan is a 1956 hard bop session recorded when the trumpeter was just 17, originally released on the Savoy label. Featuring Hank Mobley (tenor sax), Hank Jones (piano), Doug Watkins (bass), and Art Taylor (drums), the album includes seven cuts, among them the Mobley-penned "Hank's Shout." This OJC edition is pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI with all-analog mastering from the original tapes at Cohearent Audio and a Stoughton tip-on jacket.
