Jack White's Grammy-winning production of Loretta Lynn's 42nd album, expanded with a previously Vault-only bonus track and pressed on limited "Excellente Orange" vinyl.
In January of 2004, recording began on Loretta Lynn's 42nd solo album, with the producer's chair going to a 28-year-old Jack White. A long-time admirer of Lynn's work, White leapt at the chance to blend two very separate but cosmically intertwined approaches to writing, playing and producing. The album won the 2005 Grammy Award for Country Album of the Year, and its second single "Portland, Oregon" won Best Country Collaboration with Vocals, cementing the record as the most successful crossover album of Lynn's historic career.
Twenty-two years later, Third Man Records expands it. Van Lear Rose Expanded adds "Just to Have You Back," previously available only to members of The Vault vinyl subscription series.
