Recorded in March 1968, Midnight Creeper is one of the swinging soul-jazz dates alto saxophonist Lou Donaldson cut for Blue Note in the late 1960s. He's joined by a stellar band — trumpeter Blue Mitchell, organist Lonnie Smith, guitarist George Benson and drummer Idris Muhammad — digging deep into the groove on the title track and "Love Power." This Tone Poet Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI and packaged in a deluxe tip-on jacket.
