Vol. 1: Movie Scenes (2005) and Vol. 2: Movie Scenes, the Sequel (2006) opened Madlib's official Beat Konducta series: instrumental hip-hop built in the mould of '70s film and TV library records, 35 short scenes adding up to about an hour of music.
