Stan Getz Quartet - Getz Au Go Go - Acoustic Sounds Series LP
$38.99
180g Vinyl, Verve Acoustic Sounds Series
Getz Au Go Go was recorded in 1964 over two concerts at Greenwich Village's Café Au Go Go, shortly after "The Girl from Ipanema" became a Top 5 hit. The sets bring Astrud Gilberto into a more North American style, backed by a band featuring a young Gary Burton (vibraphone) and Kenny Burrell (guitar), with Gene Cherico/Chuck Israels (bass) and Joe Hunt/Hélcio Milito (drums). Remastered and transferred from analog tapes in deluxe gatefold packaging.
