Thelonious Monk's Brilliant Corners is a landmark in the pianist's celebrated catalog. The 1957 album introduces several Monk originals and features an all-star lineup including Sonny Rollins, Max Roach and Paul Chambers. Released in April 1957, it proved transformative for Monk's career and in 2003 was among the first 50 recordings chosen for the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry. This Small Batch edition is cut all-analog (AAA) by Bernie Grundman from the original master tapes and pressed one-step on Neotech VR900 180g vinyl at RTI.
