Workin' Man: Willie Sings Merle is Willie Nelson's 78th solo studio album, gathering eleven of his favorite Merle Haggard compositions across the legend's career — from "Swinging Doors" and "Mama Tried" to "Okie from Muskogee" and "If We Make It Through December." Lifelong friends and collaborators, Nelson and Haggard released three albums together, and this set continues Willie's storied tradition of devoting whole records to a single songwriter. Produced with longtime collaborator Mickey Raphael at Nelson's Pedernales Studios, it features the final recordings of Family band members "Sister Bobbie" Nelson and Paul English.
