After the hugely successful Batman soundtrack, Prince returned in 1990 with another original soundtrack, this time for his self-directed film Graffiti Bridge, the long-awaited follow-up to Purple Rain. The double album features the hit single "Thieves in the Temple" alongside the Prince-produced Tevin Campbell single "Round and Round," plus contributions from The Time, Mavis Staples and George Clinton.
