The James Taylor Quartet - In the Hand of the Inevitable - LP
2LP, 30th Anniversary Edition, Bonus Tracks
The James Taylor Quartet were the original group on the Acid Jazz scene, and In the Hand of the Inevitable was their 1995 triumphant Top 40 return to the Acid Jazz label. Recorded over a year and produced by James Taylor with Acid Jazz Records founder Eddie Piller, it is a thrilling compendium of everyone's favorite musical influences, from Hammond grooves to funk rock and Mizell Brothers-inspired fusion. It became James' best-selling and most popular album among fans. This 30th Anniversary Edition is released on double vinyl with the two tracks missing from the original vinyl issue now included, housed in a wide-spine sleeve with in-depth notes by Dean Rudland and new pictures from the album sessions.
