Vince Guaraldi Trio's GRAMMY-winning breakthrough album Jazz Impressions of Black Orpheus is the fourth release in Craft's Small Batch series — a one-step lacquer process collection devoted to the highest-quality reissues from Craft's catalog. Cut from the original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman and pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI using Neotech's VR900 compound, the one-step process delivers exceptional detail, clarity and dynamics with reduced surface noise. Released in April 1962, the album made Guaraldi a household name thanks to "Cast Your Fate to the Wind," which earned him a 1963 GRAMMY for Best Original Jazz Composition.
