Wireworld - Stratus 10 Power Conditioning Cord
Wireworld’s entry power cord: 12AWG, 22 conductors, Composilex 5 insulation and oxygen-free copper. Same build as the cords above it — the conductor material is what changes as you go up.
Wireworld’s power cords all share the same physical specification and differ, on their own published figures, in one thing: the conductor material. Stratus uses plain oxygen-free copper, Aurora adds silver cladding to it, Electra moves to OCC-7N copper, and Silver Electra uses OCC-7N silver-clad copper. Gauge, conductor count, insulation and certification are published identically across all four. We think you should know that before you choose.
Every cord in the range is 12AWG with 22 conductors and Composilex 5 insulation, carries VDE certificate 40038355, and offers an optional 20-amp C19 termination for high-current components at extra cost. Contacts are silver-clad copper alloy.
Stratus is where the range starts. The conductor is plain oxygen-free copper, without the silver cladding Aurora adds or the OCC-7N purity Electra moves to. Everything else — the 12AWG gauge, the 22 conductors, Composilex 5, the VDE certification, the C19 option — is identical to the cords above it.
Now the part that matters most, and that most cable listings will not tell you. Wireworld describes these cords as functioning as filters and claims reduced noise, and publishes no measurement whatsoever to support it — no dB figure, no test method, no independent result. Their Silver Electra page even uses the word measurably about the plug contacts without attaching a measurement. Nor do they publish an amp rating, a voltage rating, or a UL or ETL listing for any cord in the range; VDE certification is all we could confirm. None of that means the cords are bad. It means the claims are assertions, and we would rather you bought on a trial in your own system than on copy neither of us can check.

That effect is real and well known in cable design. Wireworld’s specific claim that Composilex 5 beats every other low-loss insulation including Teflon is published without any supporting measurement.

- Certification: VDE certificate 40038355. No UL, ETL or CE listing is published by Wireworld for any cord in this range
- Current and voltage rating: Not published by Wireworld. Their pages note only that a 20-amp C19 termination is available at extra cost, which implies the standard termination is rated lower, without saying what. Some dealers quote 15 amps; that figure does not appear on Wireworld’s own site
- High-current option: A 20-amp C19 IEC termination is available for an upcharge

- Shielding: No discrete shield layer is described. Wireworld attributes noise behaviour to the Fluxfield conductor and insulation geometry rather than to a separate shield

- Published measurements: None. Wireworld publishes no electrical figures for these cords beyond gauge and conductor count, and no measurement supporting any noise or filtering claim. The only objectively checkable technical documentation behind the range is the DNA Helix patents, US 8,569,627 and US 9,620,262 — and a patent establishes novelty, not performance
- Country of manufacture: Not published. Wireworld is headquartered in Davie, Florida, but we could find no Made in USA claim for the cables themselves anywhere on their site — the only manufacturing statement we found concerns packaging, which they say is printed in the US. A head office is not a factory and we are not going to present it as one.
- Warranty: Wireworld publishes a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects to the original purchaser, with damage from abuse or wear excluded. That is essentially the whole published policy — there is no itemised exclusions list, no claims procedure and no statement about transferability, though the phrase “to the original purchaser” implies it does not transfer. Proof of purchase from an authorised dealer is required, and Wireworld asks you to go through that dealer first. The ’In Groove is an authorised Wireworld dealer.
