Recorded for producer John Snyder's Artists House label, Stardust (originally issued in 1985) captures Art Pepper in superb late-period form. The album showcases Pepper's takes on Hoagy Carmichael's title track, Duke Ellington's "In A Mellow Tone," and more, lovingly recreated in their original form, remastered by Grammy winner Michael Graves and recut by Jeff Powell.
