Long out of print, Booker T. & the MG's' 1967 album Hip Hug-Her is one of their most beloved records, its signature Stax instrumental sound easing comfortably into the pop world. It spawned two significant hits: their cover of the Young Rascals' "Groovin'" and the title track, whose riff later became familiar as the opening and closing music for the film Barfly. Cut AAA from the original analog master tapes by Kevin Gray.
