Bright & Black brings metal and orchestral music crashing together, with metal songwriters composing directly for the orchestra. Performed by the Baltic Sea Philharmonic conducted by Kristjan Järvi with soloist Eicca Toppinen (Apocalyptica), the project draws on writing from Fredrik Åkesson (Opeth), Erik Danielsson (Watain), Nico Elgstrand (Entombed A.D.), and Tomas Haake/Dick Lövgren (Meshuggah), among others. Recorded in Estonia in the fall of 2022.
