Art Devo 1973-1977 is a sprawling anthology of unheard and obscure early DEVO recordings, drawn directly from the band's personal archive. Spanning unearthed basement tapes, original demos, unfinished montages and rare live audio, it traces the group's evolution from an Akron art project into the band David Bowie called "the band of the future." Released for their 50th anniversary, this 3LP version is housed in a gloss-laminated wide-spined sleeve with a tracklist curated by the band, and includes a fold-out poster with rare imagery and liner notes by Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald V. Casale.
