Dexter Wansel - Life On Mars - Music On Vinyl LP

Dexter Wansel's 1976 space-funk debut on 180-gram black vinyl from Music On Vinyl.

Built around Wansel's ARP 2600 synth textures and inspired by David Bowie's Life on Mars?, the album is a space-funk classic. The drum intro to Theme from the Planets is often cited as an early hip-hop foundation beat, and his music has been sampled by Kanye West, Drake, J. Cole, Lil Wayne and Ice Cube, among others.
