Ella Fitzgerald - Live In East Berlin 1967 - The Lost Recordings LP
$74.99
180-Gram Hand-Numbered 2LP, Limited to 3,000 Copies, Remastered by Kevin Gray
In January 1967, Ella Fitzgerald toured Europe with Duke Ellington's orchestra. On a day off, organizers arranged an adventurous "detour" to East Berlin, where 3,000 people packed the Friedrichstadt Palace for what would become the only East Berlin appearance of her career. Backed by the Jimmy Jones Trio, she delivered one of her most memorable concerts. The Lost Recordings obtained the original analog tapes and painstakingly reconstructed and restored the performance for this edition.
