The Blue Ridge Rangers was John Fogerty's first solo record, a one-man-band tribute to the country and gospel music he loved. Fogerty sang every vocal and played every instrument himself, reworking classics from Hank Williams, Merle Haggard and others. The album peaked at #47 on the Billboard charts and yielded the hits "Jambalaya" and "Hearts of Stone."
