Recorded at Van Gelder Studio in August 1960, Like Someone in Love captures one of the greatest lineups of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, with tenor saxophonist Wayne Shorter, trumpeter Lee Morgan, pianist Bobby Timmons and bassist Jymie Merritt. Held back until 1967, it ranges from a sublimely swinging title track to a trio of Shorter originals including the ballad "Sleeping Dancer Sleep On."
