Hasten Down The Wind won Linda Ronstadt the 1977 Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female, and became the first album by a woman to be certified platinum. Peter Asher produced, and the material ranges from Buddy Holly's "That'll Be the Day" and Willie Nelson's "Crazy" to three Karla Bonoff songs and Warren Zevon's title track.

This 50th anniversary edition is a Brick & Mortar / indie retail exclusive in Rhino's The Spirit of '76 series. Bernie Grundman Mastering's Chris Bellman cut the lacquers straight from the analog master. Gatefold jacket, pressed in Germany.
