Initially released as a standalone single in the summer of 1979, "Boys Don't Cry" became the title track of the US edition of the band's debut album, Three Imaginary Boys, and one of The Cure's signature songs. It achieved international success in 1986 when Robert Smith re-recorded the vocal and remixed the backing track. Now the 86 Mix returns to vinyl for the first time in 40 years, with the 86 Mix and 12" Mix remastered by Matt Colton.
