Experience the biggest-selling record of 1973 in definitive sound: Mobile Fidelity's numbered 180g 45RPM 2LP set, strictly limited to 3,000 numbered copies.

The chart-topping milestone that broke War through to the mainstream, The World Is a Ghetto lyrically confronts social ills, prejudice and injustice while its fusion-based arrangements blend Latin, Caribbean and American styles into a seamless rhythmic hybrid of R&B, Latin, funk, blues, jazz and gospel. The influential album features the hit title track and the No. 2 smash "The Cisco Kid."

Sourced from the original analog master tapes, mastered by engineers Colby Gustafson and Krieg Wunderlich, pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing and housed in a Stoughton gatefold jacket, this 45RPM set renders everything from the satiny brassiness of the horns to the depth and grip of B.B. Dickerson's bass, with wide grooves, dead-quiet surfaces and an ultra-low noise floor.
