Of all the adventurous things Ween has done over their career, recording a straight-up country album with legendary Nashville session musicians was probably the most surprising. Nobody did that in 1996 — an alternative rock act heading to Nashville to cut a record at the legendary Bradley's Barn. Ween did, and 12 Golden Country Greats is the wonderfully strange result.

To mark the album's 30th anniversary, Rhino has remastered the 1996 album (the non-sample version) and paired it with two bonus discs of previously unreleased and rare demos and studio outtakes — 36 tracks total across three LPs of black vinyl.
