The ninth solo album from Toto legend Steve Lukather, Bridges lives up to its title, drawing deeply on Toto's family tree with past and present members contributing as writers and players. Lukather wrote most of the record with Joseph Williams and David Paich and invited many of the old Toto gang to play, alongside co-writers Randy Goodrum and Stan Lynch. As Luke puts it, the album is "a bridge between my solo music and Toto music" and as close as fans will get to a new Toto studio record.
