After No Wave pioneer Lydia Lunch met saxophonist James Chance in the late 1970s, she set her angry, disjointed poetry to anti-music and founded Teenage Jesus and the Jerks. This collection gathers the group's self-titled debut EP — produced by Robert Quine of the Voidoids/Lou Reed, with Jim Sclavunos on bass and Bradley Field on percussion — alongside the "Pre" EP and the band's tracks from the legendary No New York compilation, capturing the full fury of one of New York's most uncompromising No Wave acts.
