Yellow Vinyl — Limited Edition, 180 Gram Half-Speed Master
Led by singer-songwriter Mike Scott, The Waterboys formed in London in 1981. 1988's Fisherman's Blues is their fourth album, recorded over three years with traditional Irish players in a mix of Irish trad, country, soul, and rock. The result is a stripped-down, folky sound — a marked step away from the "big music" of earlier records — often called their warmest and most rewarding work. Cut at half-speed by Barry Grint at AIR Studios, London.
