Performance sinks further into the synth-pop psychodrama TR/ST has been refining for over a decade. Recorded in Los Angeles and co-produced with Nightfeelings, the songs move through dread, lust, reckoning and abandon over a thick, smoky balance of eerie synths, heavy low end and bruised, crooning vocals. The title comes from a friend's offhand remark about Alfons' intrinsically performative nature.
