Known as the leader of global K-Pop group BTS, RM releases his second solo album titled Right Place, Wrong Person — now available for the first time on vinyl.

Branching out from the harmonic, well-received Indigo, RM's second (hiatus) album, Right Place, Wrong Person, bypasses any expectations of what a BTS record should sound like. The anchor here is warped and upbeat with a core of Neptunes-esque funk-rap influences taken from the alternative rap spectrum...It's a fittingly untamed sound for someone who has never slotted neatly into one place.

An album that is nothing short of electric. Its often discordant layers viscerally reflect the album's emotions of feeling out of place and its eventual message of the beauty in life's imperfections, while it never seems to run out of ideas – whether across the whole record or in each individual song. It's an album that rewards repeat and close listens, each track full of little details that elevate each go round.

While BTS pushed at the boundaries of K-pop for much of the group's career, RM simply refuses to acknowledge the existence of any such boundaries over these 34 minutes, with 11 songs that careen from hip-hop to jazz to punk to R&B to Fela Kuti-styled Afrobeats — while all still sounding like a coherent and natural artistic extension of one man's creative vision.
