Double Infinity marks a grand departure for Big Thief. Recorded over three winter weeks at Manhattan's Power Station, the album gathered an expansive community of musicians — including Laraaji on zither and voice, alongside a host of percussionists, keyboardists, and background vocalists — with core members Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, and James Krivchenia, all improvising arrangements and making collective discoveries while playing nine hours a day. Produced, engineered, and mixed by longtime collaborator Dom Monks, it reaches into the idea of inner and outer worlds, desire and regret, and the body as the bridge between them.
