Released in May 1975, Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy is Elton John's ninth studio album, home to the single "Someone Saved My Life Tonight." The album tells the chronological story of the early years of Elton (Captain Fantastic) and songwriting partner Bernie Taupin (the Brown Dirt Cowboy) as they struggled to break through in London. This 50th Anniversary 2LP multicolored set pairs the original album with six previously unreleased session demos and four 'Captain Fantastic Live 2005' performances.
