Drummer Tony Williams recorded Civilization in 1986, the masterful follow-up to Foreign Intrigue and a showcase for his great '80s quintet: trumpeter Wallace Roney, saxophonist Billy Pierce, pianist Mulgrew Miller, and bassist Charnett Moffett. The album presents eight Williams originals, including "Geo Rose" and "Warrior." This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition is stereo and all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
