Bill Evans - At The Montreux Jazz Festival - Analogue Productions 45rpm - LP
$59.99
200 Gram Vinyl, 2LP 45 RPM, Tip-On Gatefold Jacket
Winner of the 1969 Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, this 1968 set captures the Bill Evans Trio live at the Casino de Montreux in Switzerland — the only album to document drummer Jack DeJohnette's brief tenure in the group, alongside bassist Eddie Gomez. Evans plays with rare exuberance and drive, including a showcase of Gomez on a nearly seven-minute reading of "Embraceable You." This Analogue Productions edition spreads the music across four sides at 45 RPM to reduce distortion and high-frequency loss.
